"Hamble" to the yachting fraternity, the very name epitomises the essence of sailing ! - and is arguably the centre of yachting in the UK

The Hamble River provides easy access to the Solent. You will be spoilt for choice in sailing destinations, regardless of whether you visit us for a short break or that longer summer cruise.

Westward you have the choice of Lymington, with it's quaint cobbled streets. Bucklers Hard, steeped in boatbuilding history or Poole, where you can moor alongside the Town Quay and enjoy an excellent fish supper.

Eastward there is Historic Portsmouth with a wealth of old and new naval craft to view or visit. Port Solent with it's modern shops and cinema complex may be tempting, or Chichester harbour with a myriad of creeks to explore and the ancient city itself.

Then there is the well loved Isle of Wight. You may enjoy the hussle and bussle of Cowes during the sailing season; the quiter haunts of Newtown Creek, Yarmouth and Bembridge, perhaps taking a swim in Osborne Bay, or maybe a circumnavigation of the island.

For those with a little more time available, then Normandy and Brittany beckon. Cherbourg, only 15 hours or so away, it is the obvious staging post before passing on to the multitude of quaint French ports. To the west for example, Carteret, St Malo, Lezardrieux, Carentan, Grandcamp-Maisy or Honflleur, the list is endless, and of course, we must not forget our very own Channel Islands.

Chartering with BOSS could not be easier:
For a bareboat charter the skipper must be at least a Day Skipper or have the relevant experience.

All the yachts are fitted out to the highest standard and are fully MCA 'coded' ensuring safety is of paramount importance.
All boats are fully insured - setting aside the usual excess on the policies.

For those whose preference is to let others 'take charge' we can provide a fully qualified skipper who will assist you with your cruise or simply take you sailing whilst you relax and enjoy the experience.

Chartering can be for one day, a week-end or a week or two - the choice is yours...

Why not take advantage of our special mid-week offer with a start at midday on Monday and finish at midday on Friday - the rate is the same as for a standard weekend charter,

Some of our yachts are fitted out for racing and, for example, have competed in several Fastnet Races - why not charter one and race 'around the cans' or maybe enter an RORC series?
