Theory (level 4)

With the knowledge gained on your theory course, it is now time to put it all into practice. Alternatively if you have some sailing and navigation experience, but no formal qualification, this is the course for you.

Covering the basic skills needed to skipper a yacht by day in familiar waters, and in fair weather.

The course concentrates on pilotage, setting sails to the conditions, sail and power handling skills and taking responsibility for your crew.

This qualification will enable you to charter yachts, and can be used to obtain an International Certificate of Competence for overseas use.
